Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Woad Code. By creating an account or installing the desktop / extension client you agree to them.
1. The service
Woad Code is an AI-assisted coding tool. Outputs are generated by third-party language models and may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing every change before applying it to your codebase.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or older to use Woad Code.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- One account per person; no sharing logins.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Woad Code to:
- Generate malware, exploits, or content that violates law.
- Reverse-engineer the service or scrape it at scale.
- Attempt to bypass plan limits or billing.
4. Plans, billing, and refunds
- Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Cancel any time — your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. We will send a reminder to the email on your account at least 7 days before each renewal charge.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice via the email on your account.
- We offer a 14-day refund window for first-time paid subscribers. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion. See the full Refund Policy.
5. Pay-as-you-go overage
Overage billing is disabled by default. When you exhaust your plan's monthly token allowance, requests are hard-blocked — no additional charges are incurred.
If you choose to enable Pay-As-You-Go in Account Settings, usage beyond your plan cap is billed at the following rates:
- Input tokens: £0.015 per 1,000 tokens (1.5p / 1k)
- Output tokens: £0.060 per 1,000 tokens (6p / 1k)
When enabling overage you must set a monthly spending cap. We will never charge beyond that cap in a calendar month. You can disable overage or change your cap at any time from Account Settings.
6. Your content and AI output
You retain all rights to code you write. Woad Code claims no ownership over the code you produce while using the service. You own the output of your prompts. Woad Code makes no claim over code generated at your direction, and we do not use your prompts or outputs to train AI models.
6. Warranty disclaimer
Woad Code is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can close your account at any time from the settings page.
