Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Woad Code. By creating an account or installing the desktop / extension client you agree to them.

1. The service

Woad Code is an AI-assisted coding tool. Outputs are generated by third-party language models and may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing every change before applying it to your codebase.

Overage billing is disabled by default. When you exhaust your plan's monthly token allowance, requests are hard-blocked — no additional charges are incurred.

If you choose to enable Pay-As-You-Go in Account Settings, usage beyond your plan cap is billed at the following rates:

When enabling overage you must set a monthly spending cap. We will never charge beyond that cap in a calendar month. You can disable overage or change your cap at any time from Account Settings.

6. Your content and AI output

You retain all rights to code you write. Woad Code claims no ownership over the code you produce while using the service. You own the output of your prompts. Woad Code makes no claim over code generated at your direction, and we do not use your prompts or outputs to train AI models.

6. Warranty disclaimer

Woad Code is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can close your account at any time from the settings page.

10. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law. In particular, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 are not affected by these Terms.

11. Trader information

These terms are provided in English and governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
